Sr. Tax Associate Summary

Sr. Tax Associate Basic FunctionsThis position will allow for opportunities to assist the company in a team environment which handles multiple tax areas.Prepare federal and state income tax returns.Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments.Assist in the preparation of the FAS 109 annual income tax provision, including reconciliations of tax accounts and other supporting provision schedules.Assist with FIN 48 Recognition and Measurement documentation.Work with tax consultants and/or taxing authorities on tax audits.Perform tax research to assist in determining impact of various transactions (including changes in corporate structure or operations) to foreign, federal, state and local tax liability and reporting requirements.Support the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.

 


Essential Sr. Tax Associate Skills & Characteristics
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDBachelors degree in Business/AccountingPrior work experience in an accounting position or with accounting or tax software a plusStrong communication skillsDetail oriented with strong accounting, analytical and computer skills. Moderate to advanced skills in Excel and WordProactive with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervisionAbility to make well-reasoned and sound decisions based upon facts/experiencesHigh ethical standards combined with demonstrated ability to act as an ambassador of the companyOvertime may be required during busy seasonsHigh degree of accuracy and proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
