Staff Accountant

At the moment, we are actively recruiting for a Staff Accountant in our Los Angeles office. Our environment is fast-paced, creative, and fun. Position Summary:A Staff Accountant will be assisting three groups within Finance: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Reporting. Some of the key responsibilities will include billing, processing vendor invoices, journal entries, month close and cost accounting. Position Qualifications:A qualified individual will have 1-2 years of experience in Accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and strong computer skills in MS Excel. Knowledge of SAP is preferred but not required.Critical Attributes:Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and pay great attention to detail;. a team-player; display initiative and flexibility; good work ethic; dependable; a willingness to learn new things; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and be customer service oriented. Major Responsibilities:1. Accounts Receivable: Assist in collections, assist in billing, assist client finance analyst..2. Accounts Payable: General AP duties (processing invoices, expense reports, review PO’s, call vendors). Process W9s, W8s and credit application for new vendors. 3. Reporting: Journal entries, monthly Sarbanes Oxley regulations, special projects, month close, forecasting analysis, utilization of analysis and cost accounting.
