Staff Accountant

Biscuitville, Inc is a growing, private family owned quick service restaurant chain with over 900 employees and 50 restaurants.  We currently have an opportunity in our Accounting Department for a Staff Accountant.

Primary responsibilities: Providing general accounting and fixed asset accounting services.  Reconciling bank statements for all entities associated with Biscuitville, Inc.Reconciling general ledger accounts.Verifying the accuracy of restaurant accounting functions, recording produce and milk receipts to stores in the accounting system.Weekly Close: Comparing weekly AS400 sheets with accounting backup provided from stores. Period End: Reconciling food account, assisting in reconciliation of paid out accounts.Completing special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager, Controller, & CFO.

 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Required Minimum two-year degree in accounting with at least two years work experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of BNA fixed asset software

· Proficient  in Microsoft Office and accounting programs such as AS400 and SolomonGood interpersonal skills Ability to multi-taskExcellent attention to detail

 

Typically the candidates most qualified for this position will hold an Associates Degree in a related field, and have a minimum of two years experience accounting experience.
