Staff Accountant

We can also guarantee you won’t be working nights and weekends!We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant in our Corporate Office in Auburn Washington. Process

1.  General Ledger Account Reconciliation’s:

a. Prepare assigned monthly account reconciliations according to month-end close schedule.

b.  Document reconciling items and resolve identified items.

2.  Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis:

a. Assist in the preparation of monthly income statement and balance sheet in accordance with monthly close schedule.

b.  Analyze and explain fluctuations for assigned accounts.

c. Estimate and book accounting accruals for certain revenue and expense accounts.

d.  Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations.

3.  Sales, Use and Property Tax Reporting:

a. Maintain Vertex Sales Tax programs.

b.  Work directly with Credit and Sales Dept on customer exemptions.

c. Analyze sales tax data for correctness and deficiencies.

d.  Prepare monthly sales, use or property tax returns.

4.  Assist in Preparing for External Tax Audits:

a. Prepare necessary documents and support for state tax reviews and audits.

b.  Assist auditors understanding of processes by providing detailed explanations and account examples.

5.  Special Projects:

a. Assist with necessary special projects as directed.

 Results Measurement

·  Review income statement by the end of the 5th business day

·  Tax returns processed by the 20th of the month

·  Balance sheet reconciliations finalized by the 25th of the month

·  Reconciling items researched and resolved within two months

 Minimum Qualifications

·  2 year accounting, finance or related degree or experience.

·  Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.

·  Ability to meet strict deadlines.

·  Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

·  Must be a self-starter with an ability to work individually and with others to achieve department goals.

·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
