Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join our team.  

AE&E-Von Roll, an international firm based in North Atlanta specializing in the engineering, construction, maintenance, and operation of environmental equipment and boilers, is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant.  This position requires an energetic, friendly, team player who will report directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting.   

Key Responsibilities: Manage fixed asset including capitalization, depreciation, disposals and reconciliations. Monthly reconciliation of inter-company balancing including issue resolution. Perform and supervise monthly close process which includes preparing and posting journal entries and bank reconciliations. Perform monthly reconciliation of multiple balance sheet and income statement accounts.Effectively prepare and document balance sheet and income statement analytical reviews. Assist with the preparation of the company’s Monthly Financial Package, which includes extensive review and explanation of variances to the business plan and prior periods.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.Minimum of 5 years professional accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge.At least 2 years experience in the Engineering or Construction industry with in-depth knowledge of the accounting and financial practices associated with the industry is preferred. Working knowledge of IFRS and experience with international currency and exchange rates desired. Experience with project accounting percentage of completion. Proficiency with MS Office. Experience with Timberline is a plus. Experience with FAS 100 is desired. Must be eager to learn and grow; self-starter.Must be able to solve problems by thinking critically.Ability to accomplish tasks with limited supervision.Produces work with the highest level of quality and constant attention to detail.Ability to work quickly and accurately.Effective communication skills.  Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people.Ability to prioritize and multi-task.Takes pride in being a top notch accountant and committed to getting the job done.Ability to work under hard deadlines without loosing your focus.
