Staff Accountant/Auditor

Our clients seek a staff accountant (CPA) and auditor  These two positions, one in Madison and the other in Baraboo, are with entrepreneurial firms that are growing.  Candela Solutions (www.candelasolutions.com) is a new breed of CPA firm that builds value through strong governance.  Candela Solutions works with boards of directors and management teams to reach objectives through governance best practices, internal auditing, and information technology controls.  The firm provides services to address challenges posed by regulatory environments, technology risks, fraud, internal needs and opportunities.  The desired candidate must be experienced in executing internal audit plans and conducting technical research.  IT expertise is a plus.  Will train candidate on SEC rules and regulations.  Frequent travel (>50%) required.

Ideal candidate:Two to five years public accounting experience, audit exposure to profit and not for profit entitiesProfessional certification (CPA, CMA, CIA, etc)Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS.

Must be comfortable working in an unstructured environment that requires an understanding of business processes and risk environments.Ability to creatively problem solve using new methodologies to meet our clients demanding challenges.
