Profile:

 Dynamic Sr. Accountant who is willing to perform a wide variety of accounting functions and be a part of a thriving company.  Must have a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical ability.  We need a team player who can also work independently.  Also, must be able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.  Willing to grow with a fun and collaborative team.

 

Responsibilities:Play an integral part in executing month, quarter and year-end closings and preparation of financial reporting packageManage bi-weekly Payroll Process for 150 employee company (100 hourly & 50 Salaried)Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable:Monitoring & Approval of Purchase OrdersApproval & Scheduling of Vendor Invoices & PaymentsInternal Travel & Expense ReportsMaintain daily general ledger functions including the posting of general and standard journal entriesPerform monthly reconciliations of all asset and liability accountsAssist with general ledger, balance sheet and income statement variance analysisAssist Finance Manager with coordination and execution of annual year end audit with outside CPA firmParticipate in the development of accounting systems, policies and internal controls to comply with Sarbanes Oxley.Other duties as assigned

 

Background and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred0-2 years of experience as a Staff AccountantExperience in processing payroll, preferably with ADPAdvanced QuickBooks skillsExperience managing the entire Accounts Payable processFamiliarity with admin & accounting for employee benefits a plus.
