CITY/STATE: Washington, DC 20036POSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Accounting/Finance/InsuranceSALARY: 18.00 - 22.00 USD /hour Staff Accountant - Non-Profit     Ledgent is assisting a medium-sized, national non-profit organization with their search for a Staff Accountant.  This person will report directly to the Accounting Manager/Controller and work very closely with the management team on special projects and budget work. Duties: Assist and oversee A/P and A/R processing. Perform G/L reconciliations, analysis and journal entries Complete daily banking reconciliations Create and maintain complicated Excel spreadsheets that manage large volumes of financial data Assist with month end close Prepare various reports as needed by management Perform previous years reconciliationsResponsibilities:Our ideal candidate will have a BA in Accounting or Finance and at least 2 years of accounting experience.  Must be an intermediate to advanced Excel user and QuickBooks experience is a plus.
