Staff Accountant-Payroll Specialist

Incumbent shall be responsible for a variety of accounting functions such as AP, AR, calculate and prepare GL entries, prepare State excise tax form for review, calculate PA Fuel Tax and file associated form, review A/P invoices and check for proper account codes, enter all ACH/EFT deposits & payments. In addition, this incumbent shall be responsible for the processing and reconciliation of payroll, which entails entering new employee data, salary increases and deductions; setting up deductions or earning codes as needed; uploading timekeeping data to Ceridian; and uploading 401(k), FSA and State garnishments to respective agencies.

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred along with 1 to 3 years of accounting and payroll experience in a manufacturing environment.  Ability to read and interpret financial statements; communicate financial information in a clear and concise manner; proficient in some combination with Ross, FRX, Great-Plains or SAP; possess excellent time management, organization and communication skills; and must demonstrate proficiency using MS-Excel, Outlook and Word.  Pursuant of a CPA or CMA is highly desired as there is great growth potential for this incumbent.
