Staff Accountant, Programming

Primary responsibilities:

To assist the Programming accounting manager in the completion of various accounting functions (daily, monthly, quarterly and annually).

Major Duties: 1. Assist with the monthly, quarterly and year-end Programming Division closing process including reporting, reconciliations, analysis and related journal entries.

2. Peripherally aid with payables processing (coding, reviewing batches as needed).

3. Perform intercompany reconciliations and record wire transfers between divisions.

4. Record fixed asset additions, depreciation, and maintain fixed assets subledger.

5. Coordinate the preparation and review of month-end and year-end work papers for Corporate Accounting and tax department.

6. Tie out 10Q and 10K reporting packages.

7. Interact with various department personnel effectively.

8. Assist with annual budget process.

9. Assist with financial planning and analsis.
10. Other duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements:

Education/Experience:



- Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

- 1-2 years accounting experience, public accounting experience a plus.

- Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word applications.

- Knowledge of Great Plains a plus.

- Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
