Staff Accountant - Property Accountant

Our client is one of the nation's largest residential property owners. They are strategically situated in 7 regional offices from north to south and coast to coast and serves communities in 47 of the 50 United States. They are currently seeking to fill a Staff Accountant position in their corporate headquarters, located in Greenwich, Conn.



This position's requirements are:

 

 

Position Responsibilities: Ensure the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements on both a cash and accrual basis, including agency and asset management reporting, for review by controller. Workpaper preparation including revenue reconciliation, accounts receivable, prepaid and accrual accounts Bank reconciliation preparation completed by 10th of month. Cash management daily – post cash to the general ledger daily. Balance Sheet account analyses Escrow analysis and reconciliation of all escrow accounts including security and deposits. Month-end closing including work paper  preparation Liaison between sites and accounting department. Review accounts payable batches as entered by properties. Verify checks against batch summary report. Special projects as requested by accounting supervisors
