Staff Accountant / Senior Accountant

 

Well know, rapidly expanding company in Morris County is seeking a Staff Accountant / Senior Accountant.


Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Accounting, this role is responsible for assisting with the month end closing and reporting process.  This includes journal entry preparation, completing selected account reconciliations and proposing correcting action or follow-up where needed. 

Other responsibilities will include: Prepare daily, weekly & monthly internal management reports and to assist with audit schedules or various external reporting requirementsFixed asset schedules and analysis Property tax reporting and supporting schedulesSales and Use tax analysis, processing required filings and paymentsSelected account reconciliationsAnnual /quarterly audit schedules and supporting documentationReconciliation between GL and fixed asset software systemsOther duties and responsibilities to support departmental goals and objectives were required.Assist in implementing new policies and procedures and other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree - with an accounting major Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsIdeal candidate must be detail oriented, demonstrate initiative, possess a positive team player attitude and have the capability of working in a fast pace environment.Self starter with the ability to analyze data and prepare forecasted information when necessary.Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
