Staff Accountant or Jr. Staff Accountant



This full-time position will provide support for the Accounting Dept. at an industrial aggregate production and ready mix delivery facility. The opportunity is suited for an individual with excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills. Standard working hours are from M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with hourly paid compensation. Hours may be increased based upon operational demands. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

 

·         Systech billing system maintenance

 

·         ROI system maintenance

 

·         Month end cycle close – A/P and A/R

 

·         Prepare and post month end journal entries

 

·         Month end corporate reporting packaging

 

·         General ledger balance sheet account maintenance

 

·         Bank reconciliation

 

·         Intercompany reconciliation

 

·         Assist with billing

 

·         Purchase order review and processing

 

·         Sales tax prepayments and returns

 

·         Property tax annual return

 

·         Assist with Microsoft Excel training for staff.

 

·         Performs other assigned duties as needed by Management 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

-     Ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem solving skills

-     Must be a team player

-     Must be able to pass background and drug screening test-    Computer literate with strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access (advanced Excel skills required)

 

EDUCATION      

 

-     Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience preferred.
