Salary & Experience Requirement:
Salary Open. This is not a trainee position.
Mandatory Experience:Extensive experience in performing financial audits to include planning the audit engagement, assessing audit risk, time budgeting, supervising staff auditors, designing & implementing audit programs. Applicant must have the ability to research, understand & implement audit procedures necessary to properly report on complex audit issues. Applicant must also have extensive experience in drafting financial statements from scratch in which there are no prior year financial statements available. Such skills will also include the ability to proof, edit & modify financial statements prepared by the staff.

Job Description:
Audit 401K plans. To include auditing plan contributions, withdrawals, and participant loans. Auditor will reconcile employer records (payroll journals, GL and Vendor accounts) to Trust and Recordkeeper (TPA – Third Party Administrator) records; test transactions and participant data. The auditor will be given detailed audit programs, client document request lists and other checklists to perform the audits.
Applicant will also assist in tax preparation & other challenging engagements.

Stable Work History Required:

Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business, concentration or major in accounting.
Specific Skills/Experience Required:
Software knowledge of Excel and MS Word (knowledge of sort, merge, and table functions) a must.Because we are not offering entry-level positions at this time, the applicant we will select must be proficient in both MS Word & Excel and possess excellent grammar and punctuation skills. Applicant will not be considered for a staff position if they need assistance in writing or verbal communication.
Applicant must possess above average reading and comprehension skills in order to read and interpret the plan terms and provisions per the Prototype plan, Adoption Agreement, Summary Plan Description and plan amendments.

Annual Bonus:
Each year, bonuses are awarded to employees based on a point-system. This bonus can range anywhere from 0 to 20% of your annual salary.
Raises/Salary Potential (this position):
Professional staff enjoy between 10% to 20% annual raises to maximum salary of $90,000 (adjusted for inflation). Partnership Opportunity for right individual. Owner will retire in 10 years & desires to sell lucrative practice to right person.
Degree of Client Contact:
All audits are electronically performed (off-site). There is little or no client contact, other than, over the phone, email, fax, USPS, and FedEx, UPS, etc.
Dress Attire:
Mostly casual. Jeans and other casual pants permitted. No flip-flops or shorts. Professional attire required when meeting with clients.
Travel Required:
Rare.
Hours:
Full-time. 40 to 50 hours per week depending on time of year.
Part-time & Per Diem assignments also available.
