Staff Tax Accountant

Job Purpose:This job supports the tax compliance process by performing the preparation of income tax and related compliance filings.  The position supports the Tax Manager and Director on special projects and issues related to tax accounting.  Duties:*Primary responsibility for assisting in preparation for Federal, State, and Local income tax filings*Support for planning and audit work*Support for Tax-Basis Fixed Asset ReportingSkills/Qualifications:*Bachelors degree in accounting*4 years max experience in a corporate or public accounting tax function*Multi-State experience a plus  Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
