Stafff Accountant

 Our client is seeking a staff accountant that is responsible for all aspects of the accounting function including AP, AR, PR, and taxes.  The successful employee will see career growth and be a part of a professional team.  He or she will perform the following: Responsibilities:  handle all phases of the payroll system, general ledger, and account reconciliation oversee preparation of recurring and adjusting journal entries conduct analysis of operation reports manage (“hands on”) a team of accountants within Budget & Cost. organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work with little supervision, and work well under pressure support the CFO and upper management on various special projects  Requirements:The candidate that will be hired will have: ·  3-5 years bookkeeping or staff accountant experience in AP, AR, PR, tax and trial balance·  Public Accounting experience, payroll systems and sales tax knowledge a plus. ·  Experience working with teams. ·  Microsoft Office, QuickBooks is a must. ·  Candidate should possess strong communication skills, as the candidate must effectively interact with financial contacts in other departments and business units, as well as with upper management. Excellent compensation, 401K with employer match, health plan, life insurance, profit sharing, extended disability, vacation, and advancement.  Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000  Please send a MS word resume as an attachment to dangrecp@mergisgroup.com .
