This position is responsible for the effective accumulation, analysis and reporting of cost and financial data, material control processes at Hershey Global Manufacturing partners. In addition, the position is responsible for ongoing maintenance and analysis of master data and processing formulation and other changes. The positions will have oversight for several plants, and will need to coordinate effectively with the Global Manufacturing Alliance staff and vendor facilities staff. Individual will provide information and interact with Account Managers, Plant Controllers, Business Development and Director level employees. Develop and maintain accurate and timely Bill of Materials, routings, and initial cost estimates necessary for product costing; Maintenance vendor pricing/actual cost data; processing of formulation and other changes Coordinate cycle counts, maintain accurate inventory records and monitor inventory transactions. Monitor and report on cost center variances at assigned locations. Review operating variances on a weekly basis providing information to Account Managers, Controller, and Global Alliances Management as necessary. This position develops key data for the plant annual plan process. Duties include comparing current activity and variances against standard to assist in the determination of appropriate annual plan changes. Assist in preparing documentation and auditing for Sarbanes Oxley internal control requirements. Education: B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent (MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred). Experience: 3-7 years of manufacturing accounting or equivalent.
