Systems Accountant - QuickBooks Professional


Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and energized individual to join our team as a Systems Accountant. Reporting to a CPA, in this role you will design QuickBooks accounting systems for our rapidly growing clients. Working on the front-end of our process, you will be trained in the GrowthForce system development methodology responsible for the initial set up and integration of our clients' QuickBooks system and setting up automated business processes.

Other Key Responsibilities and Skills:Determine which QuickBooks is the right solution for a client and which system features are appropriate for client processes Set up appropriate items for a client's business by installing and implementing accounting systems on client computer systems Facilitate, control and review data transfer to new systems by exchanging data between QuickBooks files and other software programs (e.g. POS, inventory, time tracking, etc.) Customize management reporting groups to provide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Set up client preferences Set up and use QuickBooks payroll Implement web-based time tracking systems in QuickBooks Train client staff on the use of system features and provide phone support to clients for accounting and systems issues Write policies and procedures specific to client use of the accounting system


Requirements:Associate's degree in Accounting or related discipline required; Bachelor's preferred 1-3 years accounting experience with a strong emphasis in QuickBooks required; ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles Must be comfortable working with QuickBooks lists, forms, registers, and reports to assess client accounting processes QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a big plus Ability to read, analyze and interpret common business and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents Comprehend procedures of accounting processes and effectively present information to Sr Accountants, Accounting Managers or Clients is required Knowledge of payroll accounting a plus
