Talented Senior Accountant with Great Plains!!!

 Our Client which is growing rapidly is seeking to bring aboard a talented Senior Accountant with Managerial potential.Our client has develop a reputation as a leader in this industry being that their in the service industry, so they are seeking someone that can come aboard and demonstrate the skills and ability to work within a Team environment as well as show initiative to become a manager. They have grown rapidly both in size and revenue over the past 10 years, and currently have operations in the Western Region of the United States.

The Senior Accountant will own the general ledger closing process and assist in the preparation of financial statements. Candidates must have strong accounting expertise and proven leadership skills. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on accountant who can lead the general ledger closing process during a period of rapid growth and change. Experienced and high energy staff accountant needed to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close activities and prepare account reconciliations to ensure that all balances are properly stated and recorded in the general ledger
• Prepare and process cash disbursements and manage accounts payable
• Process cash receipts and manage accounts receivable
• Administer employee benefit programs and process payroll
• Record, maintain, reconcile fixed assets and perform depreciation entries
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures surrounding operations to ensure compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley 404, and applicable regulatory bodies (IRS, etc.)
• Assist with preparing audit schedules and reports related to operational accounts
• Perform other duties as assigned by accounting manager, controller, CFO and the management team.

Requirements

• Three to six years experience
• Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains required
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and be flexible
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
