Summary/General Description of Job: 

The Tax Accountant is responsible for various tasks as related to Federal and State Income Tax.

 

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

· Assist with the preparation of the Federal and State Income Tax returns and the calculation of quarterly estimated income tax.

· Preparation of personal property tax returns, business license returns, and other recurring returns.

· Assist with preparation of FAS109 footnote.

· Tax research.

· Assist with state and local tax audits.



 

Job Requirements:

Mandatory

· This position requires a minimum of two (2) years in the area of corporate income tax and general accounting experience. 

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Ability to work independently, accept responsibility, and prioritize effectively.

 

Preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

· Experience with tax software (preferably ProSystem fx).

· Experience with consolidated tax returns.
