Dynamic, fast-growing software and service company specializing in insurance tax compliance is seeking person with accounting experience or education.

 

Job DescriptionResponsible for reviewing the overall quality of each software application as well as other documentationResearch and knowledge of industry specific state and local tax return instructions and tax lawsTesting software applications for both global functionality and state tax return calculations (includes written reports of issues with follow up verifications)Ability to perform testing and other duties accurately and quicklyFlexibility and adaptability in performing duties and meeting multiple deadlinesCommunicating with developers and managers to resolve software issuesAbility to constructively raise issues regarding the software and diplomatically communicate with developers and managementAbility to provide suggestions for enhancements and improvements in software and other materialsTelephone and email support, application help, and other documentationKnowledge of Microsoft Office applications

 

Minimum Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experienceStrong and effective communication skills, both written and verbalGood mathematical and organizational skillsDetail oriented Able to work in a team Able to Multi-task Wiling to work overtime as necessary

 

* Knowledge of tax principles or experience working with financial applications a plus.
