Tax Accountant / Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1.  Maintains tax records, related schedules, and related reports. 2.  Preparation of tax filings for local, state, federal and international returns.3.  Preparation of various tax accruals.4.  Reconciliation of tax related general ledger accounts.5.  Integrity testing of monthly software updates.6.  Responsible for maintenance of internal tax calendar.   Supervisory:  None EDUCATION:  (or Equivalent Experience)Two year Associates Degree in Business or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred. EXPERIENCE:Minimum of two years of multi-jurisdiction sales tax preparation.Experience with Vertex sales tax software preferredExperience with MLM Company preferred SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:General knowledge of sales and use tax laws.Good understanding of the company’s business goals, processes, and objectives.Good knowledge of PC software applicationsGood verbal and written communication skills.Ten key by touch. WORKING CONDITIONS:The job is performed in an office environment with moderate noise.   Hazards:  The hazards are those only present in a normal office setting.
