Tax Accounting Specialist

We are now recruiting a Tax Accounting Specialist to join the Finance team at our corporate offices in Santa Clarita, CA (just north of Los Angeles). ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of tax accounting activities associated with tax compliance (international, federal, local, and state) and tax planning. Gathers and analyzes tax information for US, state, federal, and foreign income tax compliance purposes.Utilizes commercial tax preparation software to prepare US, federal, and state returns.Prepares multi-state sales/use and excise taxes on a monthly basis.Prepares and calculates Princess US Group and Princess operating line monthly tax provision for multiple jurisdictions including monthly tax balance sheet reconciliationsCreates initial tax budget and forecasting reports.Performs basic US federal and state tax issue research.Provides required responses and documentation for federal and state tax agency auditsIntegrates internal and external SOX control and process recommendations and controls testing processes.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related fields or equivalent work experience is required.Three years related experience in tax accounting in a corporate environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced spreadsheet and report writing applications and knowledge of computerized tax accounting systems is required.Knowledgeable in generally accepted tax accounting principles and practices.BenefitsPrincess Cruises offers a flexible benefits package including medical/dental insurance, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and cruise travel privileges.
