Tax Control Assistant

We are currently hiring a Tax Control Assistant, responsible for the following areas:

 Assemble tax returns and extensions for various types of returns, including the use of online and other research tools to determine various federal and state filing requirementsAssist Tax Control Coordinator with electronic tax filing systemMaintenance of XCM - our virtual client tracking systemReview scan of tax return originals and scanning of the sameMaintain database of all our clients, the forms they file and each forms' due date which includes:

Monitoring deadlines to ensure due dates are met

  Printing and creating reports from the databaseAssist Tax Control Coordinator with mass mailing for firm of annual tax organizers and business information requests, which the clients use to gather their tax informationInterface with staff, clients and vendors regarding various tax software productsPreparation and review of Forms 1099 and W-2Set up of new clients in various database programsGeneral administrative tasks and projects Potential for growth into a promising career as firm grows and duties increase

The candidate must be able to work mandatory overtime between January – April, September and October for tax deadlines, including Saturdays.
