Tax Manager $105k-$130k + Bonus

We are expanding our Professional Services Group consisting of Resource Accounting and Personnel One in the South Florida market. The Resource Accounting group is currently in search of a Tax Manager.  Please feel free to visit our websites at: http://www.employbridge.net/ & http://www.resourceacctg.com/ for more information regarding our ever expanding organization. Position Summary: This position is a key member of the Finance department that leads all Company tax efforts, including preparation of insourced tax reporting requirements and coordination of outsourced tax compliance responsibilities.  Additionally, the Tax Manager will take an active roll in tax planning and a supporting role in tax-related month-end areas.  Job Responsibilities:  INCOME TAX COMPLIANCE · Coordinate preparation of all federal, state and Canadian income tax returns with outside preparers· Prepare state income tax returns for separate company filing states· Monitor filing compliance with local tax filing requirements· Prepare Seattle, LA, NYC and other local returns· Manage estimated tax payment filings SALES & USE TAX COMPLIANCE· Prepare monthly sales & use tax returns.  Later, transition preparation to a colleague within the dept.· Seek out sale for resale exemption opportunities for the Company· Monitor changes in sales & use tax rates and tax laws for applicability to company products· Update sales tax tables in Great Plains to stay current with rate changes· Prepare Canadian GST & PST tax returns· Monitor internal compliance of use tax self-accruals· Review customer tax exemption certificates for expiration & validity PROPERTY TAX COMPLIANCE· Coordinate preparation of all property tax returns with outside preparers   TAX PLANNING· Utilize available resources to monitor and prepare for tax law changes that impact the Company · Facilitate and/or prepare all Company tax research, including responses to customer inquiries· Actively seek out legitimate tax saving strategies· Maintain the Company’s tax calendar utilizing File In Time software· Explore qualification for enterprise zone tax benefits
