Tax Manager- Fortune 1000 Company!

Our client, a top Fortune 1000 company located on Long Island has an immediate need for a Tax Manager

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for managing the tax reporting and compliance function worldwide.

· Ensure tax compliance at all levels: international, federal, state and local including periodic returns, information reporting, and other miscellaneous taxing authority requirements.

· Reporting under Fas 109, provisions, deferred, rate reconciliations, footnote preparation, etc.

· Sales tax returns, annual reports, business licenses, etc.

· Develop worldwide corporate tax planning. Provide advise and guidance to non-financial managers on a broad range of tax issues.

· Implement strategies to minimize corporate tax liability in accordance with current tax laws.

· Assist with the research and planning according to current tax laws, and evaluate the tax impact of current and proposed company activities and transactions.

· Ensure transfer pricing studies are current and being adhered to.

· Support on tax audits by outside regulatory agencies.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.

· A minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience.

· Knowledgeable in foreign tax, state nexus, federal, state and local level.

· Excellent tax research skills.

· Familiar with a variety of broad accounting concepts, practices and procedures including GAAP, Sarbanes -Oxley, deferred taxes and functional currency.
