Tax Manager Summary


The Tax Manager will perform tax accounting duties as well as other related tasks for multi-national manufacturing firm.

Tax Manager FunctionEnsure tax compliance with Federal, State and local jurisdictions, as well as compliance with foreign
laws and regulations.Communicates and interacts with the management team members, outside tax advisors, accountants and consultants engaged by the company, as well as tax authorities.
 


Tax Manager Duties & ResponsibilitiesUphold responsibility for corporate income tax compliance, including preparation of federal and multi-state income tax returns.Book/tax calculations, multi-state allocation and apportionment and calculation of research and development credits.Assist with tax research, planning, strategy and documentation.Work with Tax Director with company’s tax provision and assist in governmental agency audits.Assist in property, sales and use tax issues, and special projects.

 

 

Essential Tax Manager Skills & Characteristics Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MST preferred2 to 3 years corporate tax accounting experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)Proficient PC skills, especially in ExcelThorough knowledge of accounting concepts and principles
