Tax Manager - Income & Franchise

Overview:

 

We are seeking an Income and Franchise Tax Manager to join our practice. Successful candidate will have opportunities to be exposed to a multitude of Income & Franchise Tax issues and a variety of clients.  The individual may participate in marketing, developing technical aspects, and managing the delivery of state and local tax planning projects for a variety of industries.

 

Requirements:

 

A strong educational and technical (Income/Franchise) tax background in tax research, consulting, and compliance as it relates to multistate tax specialties. Successful candidates will have 10 plus years of experience, with prior experience with a professional tax services firm. Additional years of experience can be from industry, law practice, and/or governmental agency. Client service orientation combined with creative problem solving skills; strong written and oral communication skills; strong computer skills; the ability to work effectively as part of a team, yet function well with independent responsibilities. Highly motivated to take the initiative for own personal growth and development. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Ability to interact successfully with clients and staff professionals to effectively deliver quality tax services. He/she will be responsible for managing state tax engagements including day-to-day consulting; development of ideas, strategies and opportunities and implementation of these ideas. Additionally, the successful candidate will be involved in marketing/selling efforts. This individual will also be leveraging work to staff personnel and responsible for developing and supervising the staff.

 

Education:

 

BS/BA Required.  MST or JD Preferred.  Must be credentialed, Preferably CPA or JD.
