Tax Manager/State & Local *$130k/year* Downtown Houston

Our dowtown client has a great opportunity for a State & Local Tax Manager.  This position is BRAND NEW and will be reporting to the VP of Tax .  This candidate MUST have a significant amount of managerial experience.



You will be responsible for: Coordinate and manage all state and local tax related special projects Keep up with changes in the federal tax laws as well as perform and/or manage research projects and special projects related to tax minimization strategies.  Manage the timely and efficient preparation of all state and local income/franchise tax returns, estimated tax payments and extensions. Assist the Vice President of Tax on special projects as needed.

Qualifications needed to apply:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business degree 9+ years experience FAS 109, and Sarbanes-Oxley experience is requiredProficient in MS Office and tax research software

Salary range for this position is  between $110k - $130k/year
