Tax Principal/Partner

 

Position Description:


As a result of continued growth, The Bonadio Group now has the opportunity for an executive-level tax practitioner to play the lead role in building and managing our Buffalo Office's Tax Division.  This individual will be responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries.  We view this position as integral to our Tax Division with a genuine fast track to Partner.
 
Responsibilities: Demonstrate track record of practice building and client management by effectively identifying, selling, and delivering tax services to our clients.Interaction with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise.Market, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage to budget.Oversee the efforts of client service teams on client engagements.Manage, develop, train and mentor staff and senior staff.Review and maintain budgets.Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.Use appropriate resources and technology.Deliver projects/engagements on time, within budget and to client's satisfaction.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional experience a plus), specifically progressive federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience.

Knowledge and experience dealing with mergers, transactions, and restructurings for clients.Should hold Bachelors in Accounting with CPA license.Ability to manage and develop staff in a team environment.Demonstrated experience in practice development, business development, and management.Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology.
