Tax Specialist

The Private Clients Group has an immediate opening in the Rochester, NY office for a highly motivated and experienced Tax Specialist. This position involves the hands-on preparation of tax returns, projections and other financial analyses.  The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:Preparation of tax returns, tax projections and other financial analyses Work in, and be part of a team Keep up-to-date on current tax practices Conduct tax and financial research

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required CPA  not necessary but helpful Minimum of one to three years experience in the taxation of individuals Ability to handle simultaneous projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Skilled in financial analyses, projections and spreadsheet design High level of proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications with a focus on Excel Familiarity with CCH ProSystem fx and BNA Income Tax Planner preferred Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with other team members Ability to work in a team environment
