We are looking for highly motivated individuals to actively become a contributing factor in our continued growth.  You can learn more about Goodman & Company and our exciting careers at http://www.goodmanco.jobs. Responsibilities:  Serves the needs of the client by preparing and reviewing tax returns and tax related engagements, in addition to any other related client needs Coordinates with the Manager, Senior Manager, or Partner on all phases of the engagement, including execution of the engagement letter, communications with the client, staffing requirements, job planning, and scheduling Reviews the working papers and determines that the engagement has been performed in accordance with professional standards and the terms of the engagement letter Promptly brings to the attention of the Manager, Senior Manager, or Partner any significant findings or questions Develops practice referral sources and participates in practice development activities Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor, reflective of the company, at all times Delegates work to staff according to their experience and capabilities in conformance with the planning documents described above Coaches the staff by providing guidance and direction in the performance of their duties, and providing appropriate on-the-job training Requirements:   Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of professional level accounting experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience with a public accounting firm in the area of Tax CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures on manual and automated systems Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Basic knowledge of keyboarding and ten-key adding machine Knowledge of Accounting Software Systems a plus Proficient verbal and written English communication skills; ability to communicate effectively Human relations skills to deal effectively with visitors, clients, staff, and/or co-workers in a professional manner Professional demeanor towards duties and responsibilities, particularly with regard to independence, professional ethics, and the exercise of professional judgment Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism Must be highly organized As a full-service public accounting firm providing business solutions, Goodman & Company is able to offer our people opportunity and experience in a full complement of industry-specific functions.
