Senior AccountantOne of the best publicly traded Corporations located in the Central, NJ area is seeking a Senior Accountant for their growing group. This is a high growth corporation and environment and a place for a high energy, top performing accounting professional to grow both personally and professionally. The location will be attractive to any young professional in the Southern NJ, Central NJ as well as the NE Philadelphia locations as it is very commutable from the NJ turnpike. The responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:High Level Overview: Financial Reporting, Analysis, budgeting and forecasting of various projects. General Accounting as it relates to the month end close, revenue, and expense. Analysis of balance sheet and income statement as well as financial statement prep. Variance Analysis of actual vs budget/forecast. Prep of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC regs. Research of technical accounting issues High level exposure with some aspects of management as it relates to leading staff level individuals Various projects as neededQualifications: BS in Accounting, CPA or in progress, MBA a plus 2+ yrs experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm with in depth exposure to SEC reporting Ability to work with all levels of management Exposure to various ERPs including JDEdwards and/or Peoplesoft Ability to work in a fast paced environment Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
