Treasury Accounting Manager

Cutting edge technology leader seeks a motivated leader to join their organization as Treasury Accounting Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career with a company that is acquisitive and growth-oriented, with an environment that encourages and rewards both self-motivation and teamwork. Responsibilities Lead and manage the accounting and reporting for the Company’s debt instruments, derivative financial instruments, intercompany loan arrangements, and operations Provide accounting leadership and manage the accounting and reporting for the Company’s debt instruments, derivative financial instruments, intercompany loan arrangements, and aviation operations Act as principal liaison between Treasury Accounting and the Corporate Treasury department on debt transactions Provide direction to three direct reports; including performance and training and development Review of monthly closing journal entries for numerous Company subsidiary general ledgers Review of quarterly account analyses and of the quarterly debt, derivatives, intercompany notes, investment in subsidiaries, and tax reporting packages delivered to internal clients Prepare and/or review debt and derivatives related disclosures in SEC filings Provide oversight to the intercompany loan process, including review of associated documentation and payment activity Prepare hedge documentation in compliance with SFAS No. 133 for new derivative financial instruments, as needed Provide oversight of the accounting for the corporate aviation operations; including review of invoices, airplane trip logs, and executive billings for personal useRequirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA preferred Minimum 7 years of practical experience in accounting; public accounting experience preferred Understanding of and experience with SFAS No. 133, as amended (Accounting for Derivative Financial Instruments) and SFAS No. 155 (Accounting for Certain Hybrid Financial Instruments Strong PC skills, including all Microsoft applications If you would like to be considered for this role please submit your resume to Caroline Kaplan, carolinekaplan@spherion.com or contact Caroline directly at 610-337-1113 Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
