VP of Financial Reporting for leading company in Montgomery County

VP of External Reporting A prominent financial institution is in need of a candidate to lead the financial reporting department in the Montgomery County area.  This role gives great exposure to the financial markets globally, and offers great visibility to the entire corporate finance department of the company.  With a lot of growth within the company, there exists tons of potential for further opportunities in your career. Job responsibilities: · Manage the development, preparation, review and distribution of the quarterly and annual financial reports to external stakeholders in compliance with GAAP, SEC and regulatory reporting requirements.· Build and maintain a financial reporting infrastructure that can fulfill SEC reporting requirements on Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 8-K, etc.· Actively participate in the Company’s bond offerings and SEC registration processes.· Serve as a principal point of contact with external auditors with respect to the Company’s unaudited and audited financial statements.  · Support and participate in the Company’s SOX initiatives. Requirements: BS in Accounting8+ years of public accounting experience, or combination of public accounting and corporate SEC reporting.Certified Public AccountantWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExcellent organizational, oral and written communication and quantitative skills For more information on this job, please contact Jon Grimes, Mergis Group Career Consultant.  Please email resume to: JonathanGrimes@mergisgroup.com Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
