Vendor Collection Associate

OVERVIEW: Primarily responsible for the collection of charge-backs to the Company’s suppliers utilizing strong communication and goal-setting skills.

DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, the position is responsible to collect or resolve accounts receivable due from suppliers. The collection process will require the candidate to meet with both supplier representatives and internal personnel. This position will also process the payments received from suppliers to the applicable invoices thru both the accounts receivable and accounts payable systems. Additional duties include adjusting billing discrepancies, matching and mailing of sample invoices and statements to suppliers and the billing of certain costs to other wholesalers.  

Ideal candidates must posses a working knowledge of accounting systems and data entry skills, facility with calculator, sense of urgency and the ability to work under deadlines.  Proficiently handle the vendor collection function by utilizing strong communication and goal-setting skills in order to protect the Company’s assets and maintain supplier satisfaction.  Organizational skills are essential.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 Minimum High School diploma 3 plus years experienceProficient with computer/calculator applications Professional & courteous manner with exceptional customer service skillsResearching and resolving supplier account issues with vendors Invoicing & account reconciliation Other duties as assigned
