As such, this position involves supervision over general ledger accounting; the overall development, testing, and optimization of financial and accounting controls; and internal financial reporting to management; analysis and reporting of customer revenue, billing and collection of receivables. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Finance. Position Responsibilities:Responsibilities also include design and implementation of financial tracking, analysis, forecasting, and reporting systems to support executive decision making.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is dependable and responsible, detail-oriented and analytical, with solid written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to deliver difficult news and encourage action plans. Primary Responsibilities1. Oversee all aspects of daily accounting functions, including preparation and posting of monthly journal entries into the general ledger system and month-end close activities.
2. Manage customer billing and collections ensuring that customers are billed timely and accurately.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and forecasts providing relevant information and analyses.
4. Assist with preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, quarterly targets and forecasts, and ongoing financial analysis and management reporting.
5. Maintain strong internal control environment.  Enhance and add to accounting and financial controls where appropriate to ensure that internal control policies and procedures are consistently implemented
6. Supervise, train and motivate accounting staff.  Evaluating the performance of personnel in the accounting department. This individual recommends training requirements and has the duty to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives.
7. Work with Operations department to create efficiencies through automation and to ensure the integrity of the financial reporting systems and customer reporting systems.
8. Apply strong analytical skills to make rational judgments on complex matters to provide financial support to management and to assist with ad hoc analysis.
9. Improve methods of linking macro-economic performance indicators with Nexa Technologies business drivers to enhance the company’s ability to more accurately forecast revenues.
10. Assist with the preparation of appropriate documentation for internal and external auditors as requested.
11. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Candidates must have the following qualifications:1. Minimum of four to five years of accounting and / or financial experience.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Knowledge of Microsoft Navision accounting software beneficial.
3. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
4. Demonstrated commitment to complete work including special projects within established time parameters while being flexible in balancing priorities which may rapidly shift.
5. Proven experience with project oriented work requiring interaction across multiple organizational areas and management levels. Manager / supervisor experience beneficial.
6. Bachelors degree required Other Skills/Abilities Preferred but not Required:
