Vice President or Senior Director of Tax

Our client is a leading global manufacturer and marketer of electronic materials and is seeking a senior-level corporate tax professional to be part of their global finance team who can demonstrate strong leadership capabilities. This position reports directly to the CFO.  This highly visible role will develop and apply advanced international tax planning strategies, direct preparation of foreign and domestic income tax filings, U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting for income taxes in an SEC reporting environment. This position will also support M&A activities as well as organic expansion and restructuring efforts when necessary.  The position may require extended periods of international travel.  Competitive compensation and benefits, including stock options and participation in the executive incentive bonus plan.

 

Position Requirements:CPA and/or Advanced Degree in Taxation or LawMin 10 years public and/or private corporate tax experienceExpertise in U.S. GAAP accounting and disclosure requirements for income taxes on annual and quarterly basesExpertise in managing IRS (and global equivalent) inquiries and auditsExpertise in U.S., China and PRC taxation matters for manufacturing entities, distribution entities, holding companies and corporate office entitiesExpertise in global Transfer Pricing StrategiesExpertise in global Nexus and Permanent Establishment conceptsFamiliarity with global Customs, Excise and Value Added Taxes and related mattersOutstanding written and oral communication skills (Mandarin and Cantonese language skills are a plus)
