GM Ryan is a professional search firm narrowly focused on the Digital Media industry.  Serving the venture capital and corporate community, we place high impact performers with growing companies throughout the United States.  Our client is looking for a Media Planner with 1-3 years of interactive experience to work on both national & local client base. Plan and buy online media and manage implementation of programs. Maintain relationships with vendors. Over time, establish themselves within the company and with clients as experts in the field of media. Position reports to Media Supervisor and works closely in developing strategic recommendations that meet client-marketing objectives, and manages the Associate Planner in day to day activities.  Media Planning Work with the Media Supervisor to develop media approach & plans for various agency clients Conduct audience & media research, develop partner consideration list Aid in Development of the recommendation documents Utilize media research tools and resources to aid in campaign planning Media Buying Develop Request for Proposals Evaluate returned RFPs and field any vendor questions surrounding the RFP Aid in negotiating and developing final buy recommendation Be a day-to-day campaign contact for vendors   Media Implementation and Maintenance Work closely with and manage the Associate Planner in the following tasks: Gathering of creative specs, Developing insertion orders and purchase orders, Trafficking, QA and monitoring of a campaign, Invoice reconciliation/Bill-Pay process, Data compiling and formulation of reports Manage cross-departmental/agency issues/questions regarding campaign execution Provide various tracking requirements & tags to the clients/web developers Work closely with the team and client to compile campaign reports and analyze data Other tasks may include: training of associates, working with supervisor on standardization of processes, creating presentation, industry research, vendor interactions, attending learning sessions.  Qualifications 1-3 years of interactive experience at the media assistant or planner level required. Bachelor degree required Basic understanding of the media planning and buying process Able to manage day-to-day program execution Solid understanding of general advertising and direct marketing performance metrics Familiarity with media research tools and how to use them Proven proficiency in computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong written and oral communication skills Negotiation skills, project execution skills, time management skills, people & social skills Proficient in managing numbers Strong interest in technology & internet MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
