AMA EDITOR – Senior-level – High Science Brands ($75k-$90k)

For major pharmaceutical advertising agency specializing in print promotion and other media for professional audiences…

· Copyediting, proofreading, and fact-checking detailed high science medical information including prescribing information, dosing, statistical graphs

· Developing and updating style sheets

· Extensive interaction and follow-through with account teams

· Liaising with client counterparts

· Assisting account teams with literature searches

Requires: 5+ years of medical editorial experience including minimum 1 year of experience editing print pieces targeted to professional/physician audiences; fast and accurate copyediting/proofreading; Proficient in AMA style; ability to quickly get up to speed on assigned accounts/product categories; familiarity with FDA/DDMAC regulations. Ideal candidate will have prior high-science editing experience and be interested in heavy science editing. 

 

 

SENIOR AMA EDITOR / AMA EDITOR - FIRST & SECOND SHIFT ($55K-$70K)
3 OPENINGS (2 FIRST SHIFT & 1 SECOND SHIFT) at major pharmaceutical advertising/medical communications agency specializing in print promotion and other media for both professional and consumer audiences… Perform copyediting, proofreading, fact-checking on promotional print and/or medical education pieces; some transcribing and writing may also be requiredGenerate and update style sheetsServe as liaison to client counterpartsAssist account teams with literature searches and document retrievalSupervise junior editorial staff

Requires: BS/BA degree, 3 years of medical editorial experience, thorough knowledge of medical terminology, AMA style, and FDA regulations; ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a minimally supervised environment; knowledge of ACCME guidelines, journal manuscript submissions, and permissions procedures desirable; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
