Account Director
Fullhouse Account Directors live and breathe interactive and have the talent and passion to communicate with our clients and their audiences. Account Directors are strategic thinkers who assume responsibility for high level relationship management, direction, and financial growth for a group of smaller client accounts or one to two large client accounts.
The specific Account Director we seek understands the business and marketing needs of the their industry. The Account Director is responsible for developing sales strategies and solutions, growing client revenue and maximizing profitability, and maintaining high standards for client satisfaction for assigned account(s). Account Directors must gain an understanding of our clients’ business, communication and marketing priorities and objectives, and identify and pursue opportunities to help our clients meet those objectives. With the assistance of their account service team and other professionals, Account Directors present plans and educate clients about the potential of interactive media. A great Account Director guides our clients to embrace interactive technology without hesitation.
The Account Director must also lead and be part of a successful account services team, including providing inspiration, ensuring team members are executing against vertical / account strategies, developing skills and expertise, providing coaching and mentoring, and supervising a team that may include Account Supervisors and Account Executives.
To ensure the Account Director’s success, this position is supervised by a Managing Director with extensive interactive sales and marketing expertise.
Responsibilities:Maintains a working knowledge of industry trends and best practices that may impact clients for assigned account(s) in order to provide strategic guidance and consultation.Evaluates client potential and develops, cultivates and oversees strategies for improving our sales and service to assigned account(s).Drives the identification of opportunities for growth with assigned client accounts/brands and the presentation of new ideas to clients on an ongoing basis.Leads and participates in solution development and client presentations to successfully close organic and new business opportunities.Assists with new business development presentations for clients that fit the vertical target. May lead or assist in new business opportunity response efforts. Attends and may speak at industry events.Working with senior leadership, forecasts, grows, and manages account(s) revenue and profitability. Identifies opportunities and challenges related to profitability. May manage direct costs and staffing needs.Participates in project budgeting as needed.Develops relationships with assigned clients’ senior executives; engages clients on a regular basis to evaluate the success or failure of initiatives; determines and implements strategies and tactics for ongoing improvement.
Responsibilities (continued):Maintains primary responsibility for the quality, strategy and integrity of Fullhouse products and services to ensure client loyalty and retention.When required, represents the voice of the consumer.Brings past experiences, successes and failures to the table to inspire, teach and encourage the account team to deliver exceptional client solutions that meet or exceed goals and expectations.Manages a team of account service professionals; including performance management and staff retention.Participates in recruiting efforts as needed.
Required skills / experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related fieldMinimum of six years of interactive account management experience working within Fortune 1000 companies or with their agencies – experience selling/servicing agencies and familiar with standards and practices of agency account management.Three plus years experience.Demonstrated skills to craft and implement clients’ business strategies.Proven record of expanding business and increasing revenue from existing clients through solution selling.Proven ability to derive and quantify ROI and financial impact of services provided.Experienced at interactive solution development and innovation.Proven account planning success. Excellent team building and leadership skills.Exceptional communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.Demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to use good judgment and to perform independently.Desire and ability to thrive in a demanding client services environment (i.e. multiple clients and projects) and a commitment to getting the job done while meeting or exceeding client expectations.An energetic, fun person who’s willing to go the extra mile.
