Are you a creative communicator with a pioneering spirit?  We are currently seeking results-oriented individuals to join our team at the account executive level in our San Diego office. The ideal candidate will be passionate about communications and have a desire to learn more about science.

 Account Executives plan and execute client activities in a timely and proactive manner under the direction of an Account Supervisor or a higher-level supervisor. Account Executives play an active role in coordinating and implementing daily account activities on behalf of the client. Responsibilities include developing and editing high quality written materials including press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, biographies, briefing books, speaking opportunity abstracts, pitch letters, Q&A's, and general client correspondence, being an ongoing contact on the client's behalf to press and analysts, coordinating press and analyst tours, and ensuring program deadlines are met while handling multiple projects.



Skills required include strong written and verbal skills, proven ability to effectively organize and manage multiple responsibilities, strong understanding of public relations concepts, tactics and media relations, knowledge in integrating research and creative work concepts into account activity, efficiency in word processing, database management and online research, demonstrated ability to work well with others in both team and independent environments, and a positive, flexible attitude that will lend itself to client service.



One to three years of professional experience required, agency background preferred.  BA degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English, PR-related discipline or a Science discipline.
