Account Executive - Media and Agency Industry

Claritas (www.claritas.com), the premier leader in precision marketing solutions, has an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive serving the Media and Agency Industry. The successful candidate will exceed sales goals of personal quota through targeted new business efforts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  PROSPECT new client opportunities, including lead development EVALUATE revenue potential DEVELOP, MAINTAIN & EXECUTE strategic account plans DEVELOP & EXECUTE client Action Plans (handshake documents) with the account team to assure our products are being used properly to achieve their goals MAINTAIN regular contact with all client accounts GROW contacts within existing client organization at all levels DEVELOP value added proposals and detailed quotations PREPARE & DELIVER client presentations PREPARE & DELIVER consultative presentations MANAGE & COORDINATE all sales and service activities for all clients PREPARE necessary paperwork to process contracts DEVELOP & MAINTAIN awareness of both the information industry & assigned industry focus MAINTAIN adequate technical/product knowledge COMPLETE all sales forecasts on time MAINTAIN all client contact in sales contact system TRAVEL on average 25-40% of time



Requirements
BS/BA degree or equivalent amount of experience Experience selling in to Newspapers Experience in selling ads or ad sales support tools Database marketing experience such as in direct mail Minimum 3 years client service or sales experience Experience with Microsoft Offices packages Excellent business/analytic writing and presentation skills Previous experience with demographics and/or research databases preferred Previous experience with market analysis/GIS systems preferred Experience working at a newspaper or ad agency is prefererred.
