Account Management Team Manager/Online Media Specialist
Santa Monica- based integrated marketing communications firm is looking for an experienced account manager with strong online media experience for a major tourism account. A bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications or related field and 5+ years agency experience required.
Responsibilities include:
· Work closely with Client on day-to-day projects and establish a strong relationship with them.
· Identify and recommend strategies for maximizing results for client.
· Study demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for online advertising.
· Evaluate editorial content and audience composition within the online universe to determine which would most effectively reach target audience.
· Provide input to creative recommendations when appropriate to improve media performance.
· Gather statistics and prepare media plan to guide buying process.
· Present media plan to client and team for approval and make adjustments as necessary.
· Negotiate best price for media space or time, as specified in approved media plan, to optimize budget.
· Monitor media for placement and time discrepancies and negotiate credit or billing adjustments when necessary.
· Responsible for the preparation of Insertion Orders and placement of advertising with media vehicle.
· Establish customer accounts with outside vendors.
· Ensure all deliverables are met and aligned with Client goals/objectives which includes the oversight of continuous program optimizations.
· Work closely with all agency disciplines including media, creative, and interactive production.
· Manage daily account activities including interactive and print production, billing, competitive monitoring, etc.
· Have the ability to multi-task and function well under pressure and tight delivery timeframes.
· Attend weekly status meetings, manage account status reports, distribute reports.
TECHNICIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· At least 3+ years working with online media planning/buying
· Strong account management skills – both strategic and executional
· Outstanding written and oral communication skills
· Must be analytical and extremely detail-oriented, work well under tight time constraints and have a passion for producing a high volume of daily output
· Understanding of website and media analytics
· High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
· Strong organization skills and attention to detail
· Deep knowledge in the following areas of interactive media: Branding and Awareness Campaigns, CPA, CPM, Behavioral Targeting, Localized Placements, Lead Generation Campaigns, and others
· Must be proficient and have experience in media planning and negotiations
· Fluid understanding of all relevant ad serving and research tools including but not limited to Doubleclick, Atlas DMT, Nielsen, Comscore and @Plan
· Solid understanding and use of ad-serving technologies and tools (i.e. DART, a plus)
