Account Manager/Director

Seeking a direct response marketing professional with specific and extensive experience in newspaper inserts. This experience (no less than five years) can be from the client-side, a media agency or with a major newspaper. We are a NY-based Direct Response agency, however, this position can be based in either New York or Chicago. Newspaper inserts (a.k.a. circular advertising, preprints, free standing inserts, etc.) are a large and growing part of our media mix. We are seeking a senior manager or director level candidate to manage the newspaper insert business for very large advertisers. As the team's quarterback, you will be responsible for guiding strategy, planning drops, test designs, budgeting, reporting on results, print production, etc. This is a visible program within results-oriented organizations. You will need to be confident, analytical and flexible. You must be an excellent communicator, leading a team comprised of the client contact, a creative agency, media agency, print production team, et al.  

You MUST have NEWSPAPER insert experience. Related or similar experience will not suffice.
