Account Supervisor, Corporate Communications

Currently, our Los Angeles office is seeking an accomplished Public Relations professional with 5-6 years of PR agency experience to join our growing Corporate Communications practice as an Account Supervisor.

This Account Supervisor will implement tactical media relations strategies and manage multiple projects in a deadline-focused environment. S/he must have established media contacts within national, top-tier print and broadcast media to include business, financial, entertainment, and trade; as well as new media contacts such as online editors, journalists, and bloggers. S/he will be responsible for the media component of a variety of PR programs and activities that coordinate with our client's goals in the areas of corporate strategy, issues management, and crisis communications.

Primary Responsibilities
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of clients' business and develop long term plans and program recommendations. Develop sophisticated messages that are aligned with objectives relating to corporate identity, company leadership, and, generally, telling our clients' story. Develop and qualify media lists as necessary. Persuasively pitch media and new media, foster strong media relationships, and develop media approach. Author client letters, memos, media plans, press releases, meeting reports, and other key materials. Create and execute accurate budget estimates for clients for a long term and short term programs. Effectively liaise between staff and senior management. Clearly communicate the vision, goals, and strategy for client development to the team. Participate in new business pitches and/or presentations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 5-6 plus years related professional, corporate communications experience (preferably within a PR agency environment). Candidate should have successfully achieved clients' media objectives in the areas of corporate, issues, and crisis PR. S/he must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, on-line services, Internet and new media. S/he should possess sophisticated writing and media pitching ability, exemplary client service skills, tenacity, and creativity.
