Account Supervisor/Managing Supervisor-Kansas City

Responsibilities • Serve as liaison between the digital team, agency account management staff, and clients • Craft, present, and manage communications plans that include online public relations, Web log outreach, online advertising, search engine marketing, e-mail and direct response, interactive viral communications campaigns, Web site development, and related activities • Direct a cross-functional team of creative and technical personnel (internal and external resources) to deliver corporate, product, and/or event Web sites, micro sites, digital wizards, games, and other online applications; must be comfortable translating strategic direction to Web designers and developers • Special emphasis for this position: Candidate must have a working knowledge of search engine optimization and search engine marketing, with the ability to define, implement, and train junior personnel on campaign setup, monitoring, reporting, and optimization • Manage the day-to-day details for projects, promotions, and events • Research, compile, write, and present to clients — including new business proposals, contact reports, and monthly/quarterly/annual reports • Oversee client budgets, including tracking, billing, and communications; proven ability to run accounts profitably • Proven success linking online communications activities with offline programs preferred • Includes copywriting for Web sites, e-mails, viral applications, and related digital tools • Able to rapidly assimilate information, interpret client requirements, and present ideas concisely and persuasively to build trust and rapport • Able to lead and work within team structure; proven experience overseeing large client programs with multiple projects Qualifications • Six to eight years experience in traditional public relations and/or marketing communications with at least two years leading or making significant contributions to interactive communications programs • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in public relations, advertising, marketing, or related field • Candidate must have excellent account management, project management, oral communications, and copywriting skills, and be comfortable interacting directly with clients at Fortune 500 companies, as well as providing direction to our design team • Must be familiar with standard interactive planning, development, and analysis functions, such as e-mail template design, message targeting, interactive copywriting, Web site traffic and click-path analysis, site mapping, and architecture planning • Proven experience in planning, selling, and managing communications programs • Energetic, self-starter, and problem solver — gets things moving, keeps them on track, and understands how to switch gears when needed • Strong organization and project management abilities; able to multi-task • Proven client counsel and team management skills; has grown accountsFleishman-Hillard’s reputation for quality, creativity, and results is the foundation of our distinguished status in the industry.
