This is an opportunity for a senior AM to really shine! General description and duties:
· Integral member of the J&J brand team with Momentum, Universal McCann’s J3 unit and the client in developing and managing client business
· Provides event expertise and leadership in guiding internal teams across the agency to meet client goals ensuring that brand strategy and objectives are being met
· Acts as an expert on Momentum resources to ensure that we are channeling a large volume of work through the agency efficiently and effectively.
· Develops rapport with J3 and clients troubleshooting conflicts as they arise
· Leads the development of strategic solutions (event marketing, sponsorship activation) around J&J properties which build brand equity and deliver results for the client
· Plans and executes assignments that are on strategy, on time and on budget
· Delivers polished Client presentations
· Actively contributes to overall idea generation with agency team
· Ensures that the financial aspects of the programs/account(s) are managed according to agency procedures
· Mentors more junior team members, may supervise a AE or AAE
· Develops core area(s) of expertise: Event Marketing
Specific Requirements
· Account Manager required for Johnson & Johnson team
· Management of event marketing/sponsorship programs a must
· Person also needs to be part “hunter” to ensure that Momentum is engaged as much as a appropriate on all J&J activation opportunities through J3
· Role involves day to day support for Group Account Director and will allow for a fair amount of autonomy
· Person should ideally be a senior AM on the verge of becoming an AD
· Best candidate should have experience working with Momentum and intimate knowledge of our resources and processes
· Person should ideally have a passion for sports and pop culture
· Person with an understanding of sponsorships, how to bring them to life and understanding on how best to leverage assets is a must
· Person must be creative thinking, be able to problem solve both in an office and in a live on-site event environment, they must be able to work closely within a tightly knit team but also under their own devices
· Person needs to be articulate, organized, self motivated, have strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable with managing budgets
· Person must have strong event skills, be comfortable with event planning i.e. understanding the process and contributing to how an event is brought to life but also be experienced with hands on, on-site event management
· Experience of managing temporary staff and creating staff rosters would be a bonus
· Must be proficient at Powerpoint, Excel and Microsoft Word/Outlook
· Key duties include:
o Day to day interaction with internal departments including creative, studio, entertainment, production, PR and finance
o Relationship building and day to day interaction with J3 and other roster agencies
o Relationship building with junior clients both via phone and face to face
o Attendance at weekly status meetings and management of weekly report
o Creation of notes from meetings/conference calls and distribution to team
o Assisting team members in brainstorming sessions to develop new programs
o Developing powerpoint presentations, outlining objectives, strategy and approach
o Creating project timelines and ensuring deadlines are met
o Developing estimates, budget management, tracking and invoice processing
o Management of vendor forms and creation of purchase orders
o Website and competitor research
o Creation of metrics and measurement plans, subsequent data analysis and visual representation
o Recap creation
o Development of award submissions
Experience and credentials:
· 7+ years of relevant experience
· 3+ years agency experience
· Developing an expertise in strategy, sponsorship and activation
· Experience training/mentoring more junior team members
· Rated Solid or better on performance reviews
· Demonstrates a “client management philosophy” that fits within the Momentum model
· Proven success in collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team in achieving established objectives
· Regularly delivers quality work (creatively and strategically solid) within budget parameters
· Successful leadership of clients
· Successful negotiator of tie-in partners, sponsorships, etc.
