Job Description
This position is responsible for accurately inputting information from membership applications, processing membership payments, contacting members when additional or corrected information as needed, managing a variety of customer service and Managing Director issues, collecting delinquent membership fees, and assisting in other areas as needed.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
o Reviews monthly commission calculations and verifies accuracy. Submits results to Controller for check processing.
o Creates and maintains hard copy files for all members
o Accurately inputs all information from handwritten membership applications
o Processes membership payments and ensure Welcome Letters are sent
o Verifies that chapter and sponsor information are in system for online applicants
o Calls new members to welcome and verify information provided on applications
o Monitors list of delinquent accounts and reprocess declined charges. Uses discretion in amount collected and waiving fees as deemed appropriate.
o Calls members whose accounts remain delinquent after three email contacts
o Responds to calls and emails from members who need to update information
o Responds to calls and emails from Managing Directors regarding members
o Maintains accurate and detailed records both in the system and in the hard files
o Performs a variety of administrative tasks related to primary duties
o Assists others in Accounting Department and other departments as needed
o Provides customer service to the members; and maintains their accounts, this includes processing the various activities (i.e. Inactivations, Reactivations, Terminations, changes, collections, credits/refunds, invoice receipts, correspondence, etc.).
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Associates Degree preferred or equivalent work experienceTwo years’ related work experienceProficiency with Excel and WordDetail oriented, organized, and self motivatedComfortable dealing with people and numbers (customer service and accounting)
