Advertising Account Manager- Media Category

Major Media Advertising Manager



We are looking for a New York based Media Advertising Manager who will sell an integrated portfolio (print, online, events) to East Coast clients and agencies. You would handle a $10M+ desk selling to media advertisers in the Broadcast, Cable and Online arenas. We need someone that is a solid seller and truly PASSIONATE about the entertainment category; someone who consumes print, TV and online media on a daily basis.



You will develop and support the growth of the media category advertising revenues through outstanding sales and service to clients and their agencies. Responsibilities will include meeting and exceeding revenue and product goals in addition to satisfying the customers’ advertising needs.



Responsibilities:



Prospect for new accounts and attend to all details required in the sales and service of existing accounts.Develop and implement customized sales plans and presentations; manage and maintain accounts by developing strong working relationships with senior managers. Achieve volume and revenue goals while making high quality sales calls on existing and prospective clients. Stay abreast of the entire portfolio of brands so that the sales process will satisfy customer needs.





CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Exemplary advertising sales experience in Broadcast TV, Cable, and Online.



Online, print, or multimedia sales a plus. Agency and Media buying experience welcome.



Creative thinking and self-starter skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks



Strong sales and rapport building skills



Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and written skills



Ability to negotiate effectively is essential



Ability to engage in active listening



Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
